Update.

No, this isn’t a spam bot, it’s actually me.

So, over the last few months, I left college (Sixth Form really.), and eventually managed to get a job, working at the Royal Mail up until Christmas (Not long now. ). The job is data inputing, and actually provides some humor, I won’t go into peoples names (Though there was one that I couldn’t not laugh to myself at, it was that awesome.) but there are some place names within the UK/Britain that are quite entertaining:

Oswaldtwistle.

Redcar.

Little Lever.

Little Squire. (No I didn’t mis-read it.)

Co. Mayo. (“Co” standin for “county”.)

France…. oh wait. No, never mind that one. It’s not even in Britain.

Also, America seem to have nicked a lot of our placenames. They have a Birmingham, a Cheadle, (Though why they’d want Cheadle is anyones guess.), Manchester, there’s also a Birmingham in Canada, I think… and there’s more but I forgot them. XD

I’ve also passed my driving test since the last update, and now have a full license……. still no car but hey, Christmas is coming…… not that it would help any.

Also visited my Auntie Bernadette back in November, with some family members.

And now for something completley different:

Quick Blog.

Just a quick post. A couple of weeks ago Matthew came home (Big Brother, and no, not the show, I mean he IS my BB.) We went to the Ashbourne Highland Gathering (Me, Matthew, Katherine (Sister), Matt (Sisters boyfriend.) , Mum (Parent) and Dad (Other Parent.)

Yeah… it’s been a while since I last updated this huh? Well, time to play catch up:

I took my driving theroey test and past first time, on friday the thirteenth, just goes to prove have cool I am. *cough*

I’ve done my As levels. Waiting for the results.

Easter and Christmas have been and gone. (Incase you didn’t notice.)

The last two weeks!

First off, a picture that I did, using the fire planet method from before, but with different colours and with a slightly different method.

Also, I got my GCSE Art work back, and this is what I did for my final piece.

Ok, so, it was my birthday back on the tenth. I got my provisonal driving licence (I was SO NOT expecting that *Rolls eyes*) Anyway, here’s a video:

DRIVING LESSONS!! This is the part where I make Matthew feel old. (Hard luck ) Yes, I am now old enough to drive. I’ve had two lessons, the first wasn’t that bad at all. I was surprised at how easy it was to drive (Minus not steering into the curb etc) but yesterdays lesson was definatley better. My driving in a straight line wasn’t corrected as much and at the end of the lesson, my instructor said that my gearing was good. You should have seen how I pulled away from the house, like a pro. (Dad even said so.)

Now I need to pay attention to the speed I’m driving at and what the signs on the road say to drive at lol.

Photoshop

Got into playing with photoshop again the other day. I was looking around on youtube and came across a tutorial for making a fire planet, which takes less than 5 minutes to do and it looks great. I also rememberd seeing a tutorial for something else, but the first steps of that tutorial created a good looking nebula. There was only one thing missing, a ship. I took a look through screenshots that I’d taken in Star Trek: Bridge Commander, and found a perfect one. I cut the ship out, put it in with the nebula and the planet, but it looked out of place. I decided to give a motion blur to give the impression of flying toward the nebula and planet, then realised I needed to dublicate the layer first lol.

In the end, I dublicated the main ship layer twice, one set to lighten, the other set to coloour burn or colour dodge. I think they both had motion blur as well, not quite sure though. However, this is how it turned out:

Quick Catch up!!

Ok, so I have a couple of trips to Llandudno to write up but that will come when I get the video and pictures onto my PC.

So moveing ahead of Llandudno, I got my GCSE results.

I passed almost everything, French being my failure but hey, me and French? I still struggle with English sometimes as my spelling  mistakes may show you. So tha’s 9 out of 10 grades that I have. I’m stopping on at 6th Form for another 2 years as well.

On Monday I went to the pub with Granddad. (Thanks Granddad) and To see a couple of other relatives. Summer is almost over but that just means that next years os getting closer. Unfortunatley, my sister will be home by then. *cries*

Well, that’s it for now but there’s just one last thing that I want to show. It looks like a really cool gam. A little like the Sims or Black and White but it looks great.

Photoshop Fun

Well it’s been a busy week but I’ll post more about that later.

Mainly, I just want to post about my awesome new picture I created in Photoshop. It took me less than an hour (I think, didn’t count) and the end result was awesome.

I started out with this picture:

And having not been able to find a background on google, I remembered this:

Then, a little bit of photoshop and imageready magic later, I got:

Basicaly, I took out the lego man, shunk him down, shrunk down the background, altered the levels of the sky, then the whole background, drew the lightsaber (In a way that I’ve never done, I did it by accident lol, but can remember how ) did the lightning (Thanks to Burt Monroy) and created the pulse, lightning flash and text in imageready

Well, finally remebered to after spending the last week thinking about (When I’ve not been on/ able to get on the computer.)

Let’s start with the new Pirates movie!!

If only it wasn’t the last one. Mum and Dad made us leave before the credits had ended, so we missed the Easter Egg!! Thank god for youtube

Mum broke my mug yesterday, maybe the day before, Pirates music is awesome.

My French exam went fine, I only had to go ‘Eenie Meanie Miny Moe’ once   AND it was 1/2 way through the paper

One more week left now, 4 days in total.

5 Exams.

I spent 2 days making an effects test to test out animation mostly, and interaction with objects such as droids and lasers.

The fun part was, I could just make it up and then make it look awesome by adding the effects

I’ve started modelling again for Bridge Commander, well, playing around in milkshape as the trial has ran out, and I can’t be bothered download one of the later trials yet, maybe next week.

Well, it’s been a while since my last update, so, I am now in my final week of school, can’t wait till Thursday (Lie in)

exams coming up soon but after that, a nice loooong holiday. I’ll try not to do to much.

So many people that I won’t miss, the teachers, the idiots, Sam… I mean, I’ll miss my mates though, so much. Well, MSN is around for a reason

Update! Update! Update!

So, quite a bit has happened since my last post.

1) I went to Llandudno a couple of weeks ago, saw my brother, walked around (yipee) and then came home. We went up the Little Orme, and went to subway afterwards. Mum being mum, got to the salad part and being her usual un-able to make up her mind self, said “I’ll have some of everything”. Which is what she got. Literally. (Minus the Cheese). Mine was nice, Italian something, know that I come to write it, I can’t remember what it was XD, but hey, I’m a Wilcox. Not long after getting back, I got Democracy Player, and have been watching ‘PixelPerfect by Bert Monroy’. (I’m getting good at Photoshop. (Yeh)

2) XBOX LIVE!!!!! That was fixed the day I got back from Llandudno (thanks to Matt) so YIPEEE!!!!

3) Matthew came home the next week:| lol. I went out to film a movie (Not the one mentioend in last post) and ended up falling down a bank before even filming, so I had a muddy butt. (Yipee) We actually got some quite good bloopers.

4) I’ve had my eye on ‘Assassins Creed’ for quite sometime, it looks very good. I think the best way to descripe it would be a cross between TES Oblivion and Prince of Persia, as it’s from the creators of Prince, but sort of like Oblivion.
